Canon 48
Overview
This canon prohibits clergy and laity from observing Passover with Jews or participating in their festivals, prescribing deposition for clergy and excommunication for the laity.
1Command 48: If a bishop, priest, deacon, or subdeacon keeps the Passover with the Jews, or shares in their festivals, let him be deposed. If a layperson does so, let him be excommunicated. If a layperson sends gifts to the assembly of the Jews or to the assembly of the nations, let him be excommunicated.
