Overview
This statute directs the distribution of what remains from the Offering and assigns proportional shares to the various ecclesiastical orders.
1Concerning what remains from the Offerings. The deacons shall distribute among the priests the Eulogia remaining from the Mystery, apart from what they offered, with the knowledge of the bishop or presbyter.
2Four parts shall be given to the bishop, three to the presbyter, and two to the deacon. To the others—the subdeacon, the reader, the singers, and the deaconesses—one part shall be given.
3This is good and acceptable before God. Each person shall carry out his ordinance. There is no one in the church who performed a sign unless he carried out the ordinance in the good and honorable manner in which it ought to be done.
