Overview
This statute instructs the laypeople to obey the commands given to them, respect those who serve at the altar, avoid hostility and accusation, and remain within their appointed responsibilities.
1Concerning the statute for the laypeople.
2Filepos said: The laypeople shall cheerfully carry out the commandment given to them, and they shall obey those who devote themselves to the altar. All of them shall please God in what has been given and assigned to them.
3You shall not cultivate hostility toward one another because of what you have been commanded. Instead, each person shall be diligent in the work given to him by God. He shall neither hate a neighbor nor cause a neighbor to be hated through an accusation. Even the angels do not overstep what has been appointed for them.
