Canon 15
Overview
This canon excludes from office those who rely on astrology, divination, sorcery, or related practices, and orders their deposition from priestly office.
1A commandment.
2Let everyone be excluded from office who trusts in the calculation of the stars; who believes the pronouncements of the [māryān], practitioners of sorcery, observers of stars, or calculations based on birth; who asks them about what is not proper; who accepts their words; who perverts the commandment of God, his order, and his judgment; and who ranks Christians with those who do not know God.
3Let him be deposed from priestly office, for he has acted like the Jewish [mäṭäʿawiyān].
