Canon 38
Overview
This canon requires bishops and priests to bless the people and preach the word of God, prescribing deposition for failure to do so.
1Command 38: Concerning a bishop or priest who does not bless the people. Let him be cut off from God. If a bishop or priest does not bless the priests and the people, and does not preach the word of God, let him be expelled. If he is in a place of business, let him be deposed.
