Canon 28
Overview
This canon directs the bishop to administer church property under God’s oversight and forbids personal profit, favoritism toward relatives, and trading in church goods for their benefit.
1Canon 28.
2Let the bishop care for the church and set its affairs in order, as God looks upon him. He shall not take profit from them for himself alone, nor give God’s property to the children of his family.
3Even if they are poor, he shall not trade in the property of the church on their account.
