Statute 45
Overview
This statute directs believers to receive the Eucharist before tasting any food and states that deadly poison will not harm a recipient who has faith.
1Statute 45 — Concerning how it is fitting to receive the Eucharist early, when it is offered, before tasting anything.
2All believers shall heed the admonition to receive the Mystery before tasting anything. If the one who receives it has faith, then even if someone gives him deadly poison, it will not harm him.
