Statute 43
Overview
This statute directs deacons and subdeacons to report the sick to the bishop so that he may visit and comfort them.
1Statute 43 — Concerning how it is fitting for the deacons to attend upon the bishop.
2Each of the deacons, together with the subdeacons, shall turn to the bishop and report to him concerning the sick, so that he may visit them. For if the Chief Priest diligently visits the sick, they will be comforted, because he has remembered them.
