Overview
This statute gives instructions for providing a meal to widows and the aged and for sending food home with them when they cannot be served before evening.
1Statute 39. Concerning the meal of widows.
2If anyone wishes at any time to invite widows and the aged, he shall satisfy them with food and send them away before evening.
3If this is not possible because of the clergy who have been invited, he shall give them food and wine and then send them away immediately. Each of them may do with it as they wish in their own homes.
