Tizaz
Statute 21
Overview
The speakers address women’s conduct in church, ministry to the needy, the heavenly value of charitable deeds, and obedience to commandments given from God.
1Kefa said: It is not fitting for women to raise their voices while standing in the church. Instead, they should prostrate themselves with their faces toward the ground.
2Ya'ekob said: How can a ministry of the Mystery be appointed for women, except this ministry: that they should help the needy?
3Filepos said: Brothers, through the charitable deed a person performs, he gathers for himself a good treasure in the kingdom of heaven. For the good deed is credited to him by God, who endures forever.
4Petros said: Brothers, you know that we have not been placed over anyone by compulsion, but we give a command from God. We beseech you to hear and keep the commandments. Neither add to them nor take away from them, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be honor and praise forever and ever. Amen.
