Overview
This commandment directs the appointment of a chief priest to oversee, assemble, instruct, and correct presbyters throughout the districts.
1Commandment.
2Let them appoint a chief priest over the presbyters throughout the districts. He shall travel among them, gather them, command them, and rebuke them. They shall know that he has authority over them. He shall know their works and what is proper for them, and they shall carry out his command, just as Samuel the prophet traveled through the regions of Jerusalem, commanding and rebuking them.
