Canon 44
Overview
This canon orders the deposition of a priest who fasts on Sunday or the Sabbath, with the stated exception of the Great Sabbath of Passover.
1Commandment 44. If any one of the priests is found fasting on Sunday or on the Sabbath, except only the Great Sabbath, which is Passover, he shall be deposed.
