Canon 36
Overview
This canon instructs clergy to partake of meat and wine during festivals and fasts as a witness to the faith, serving as an example to the people.
1Command 36: If a bishop, priest, or deacon does not eat meat or drink wine during the days of feasts and fasts, let them be deposed. For they are a model for the flock of the people.
