Canon 24
Overview
This canon regulates the reception of foreign bishops, presbyters, and deacons, including their credentials, conduct, and material assistance.
1Canon 24.
2No foreign bishop, presbyter, or deacon shall be received. Rather, they shall be treated as minor clergy; only if they have [mabāḥta] shall they be appointed and admitted.
3If they are heralds of righteousness, let them enter. If not, give them what they need and do not admit them, for there are many such people who are unclean.
