Canon 64

Abtilis · Section 65 of 83 · 1 passages

1Abṭelis, 64. If a bishop, a presbyter, or a deacon has married two women before his ordination, he is to be removed from his office. But if he married a second woman after his ordination, he is not to be removed, for he has not committed a sin against the priesthood. This is written in another book. If a priest has been ordained a second time, or if one has been ordained in the same manner, he is to be removed from his office. But if he was ordained a second time because the first ordination was invalid, he is not to be removed, for those who were baptized by the invalidly ordained do not possess valid baptism, nor do they possess valid priesthood, and they are not to be separated from the church, for this is foolishness in the faith.
