Canon 3

1Canon of Abtilis: If a bishop, or a priest, or a deacon offers anything other than the law of Christ within the offering, and places upon the sacrifice a measure of honey or milk, or if he offers a garment of wool or a garment of silk, or if he offers wine that is not pure, or wine that is mixed with fire, or wine that is mixed with the sun, or if he offers birds or animals, or anything else that is not commanded, except the offering which our Lord Jesus Christ commanded: pure unleavened bread and pure wine from the grape which is pressed from the vine. And whoever does not do this, except this, shall be removed from his office and deposed, and he shall not be served. Let the grape and the wine be brought in their season, when their taste is ripe, and this is in the month of the famous feast, which is the feast of John the Baptist. And let them be brought into the sacrifice, and let them be offered in their place at their proper time. The first fruits and the tithes shall be brought. And whoever does not bring them shall not be admitted to the sacrifice. And let not the oil of myrrh, which is commanded by God, be mixed with anything that is not commanded. And let the oil of myrrh, which is not mixed, and the incense of frankincense, which is sweet and good, which is pure and clean, be brought at the time of the Eucharist and prayer, and let them be mixed.
