Statute 6

1Philip said: “My son, you shall not be lustful, because lust leads to adultery and afterward makes a man the object of everyone’s ridicule and derision. Lust is a seductive demon. When the demon of anger joins with lust, it brings destruction to the person in whom this occurs. Wherever there is an unclean spirit, there is sin of the soul.

2“If it finds even a small place where it can enter, it enlarges that place and takes all the unclean spirits with it. They enter that soul, and the first spirit will not allow them to leave that person. That person will then be altogether unable to raise himself and see what is right.

3“Set a time at which you will lay aside your anger, so that after becoming angry you may cool down and wait, lest Satan cast you into a very wicked deed. Anger and lust are evil. When they remain for a long time, unless people cool their anger, they become demons. When the demons gain power over people, they set fire to their souls. After bringing them to commit sin and wrongdoing, they mock them and rejoice over the ruin of their souls.”
