Overview
This statute requires deacons and presbyters to assemble daily with the bishop for direction, instruction, and prayer before returning to their work.
1Statute 47 — Concerning the deacons and presbyters.
2It is fitting that they assemble every day with the bishop in the place where he is, so that he may direct them in due order. The deacons and presbyters shall not neglect to assemble with the bishop every day unless bodily sickness prevents them.
3When they have assembled, they shall instruct those who are in the churches. Likewise, after they have prayed, each shall return to their own work.
