Canon 13
Overview
This canon sets qualifications for one appointed over Christians and orders the removal of an officeholder who does not maintain them.
1A commandment concerning the order of ordination.
2No one who does not know the law and the order shall be appointed over Christians or command them. Only one who observes them shall be appointed, one who is kind in disposition, patient in humility, and good in conduct.
3If, however, he departs from this and does not do everything we have said, he shall be forcibly removed from his office. His word and command shall not be accepted, for he has not been faithful in his office.
