Overview
This canon mandates that clergy must not refuse to forgive those who repent, emphasizing God's joy over a sinner's repentance.
1Command 35: Concerning those who do not forgive those who repent. If a bishop, priest, or deacon refuses to forgive one who repents of their sins, let them be deposed. For the heart of God is grieved, who says there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents.
