Canon 11

1Canon Eleven.

2A bishop is not permitted to leave his appointment and be appointed elsewhere, even if the people press him, unless there is a beneficial reason and they urge him to do so because he can benefit those who are there through the word of righteousness.

3Even this he shall not do on his own, but by the judgment of many bishops and after exceedingly great entreaty.
