Fragment 72

1The Lord showed me a very great land outside this world, exceedingly bright with light. The air there was illuminated by the rays of the sun, and the earth itself bloomed with unfading flowers. It was full of spices and plants that flowered beautifully, did not decay, and bore blessed fruit.

2The fragrance was so great that it was carried from there even to us.

3Those who lived in that place were clothed in the garments of shining angels, and their clothing was like their land. Angels hovered around them there.

4The glory of all who lived there was equal, and with one voice they took turns singing praises to the Lord God, rejoicing in that place.

5The Lord said to us, “This is the place of your high priests, the righteous men.”
