Canon 59
Overview
This canon forbids clergy from consuming uncooked meat, meat killed by strangulation, or dead animals, prescribing deposition for violation.
1Abṭelis, 59. If a bishop, priest, deacon, or any of the lower ranks of the clergy eats meat that has not been properly slaughtered, or meat killed by strangulation, or a dead animal, and does not avoid this, let him be deposed from his rank.
