Canon 10
Overview
This canon addresses the case of a person who speaks with a priest or deacon who has been deposed or excommunicated due to a known sin or other fault, and who refuses to separate from them; such a person is to be expelled from the priesthood, barred from communion, and excluded from the assembly of the people.
1Abṭelis, 10. If a man speaks with a priest or a deacon who has been deposed or excommunicated on account of a known sin or other fault, and does not separate from them as one who prays with the priests in secret, let him be expelled from the priesthood, barred from the Eucharist, and excluded from the assembly of the people.
